Dublin Airport has expanded rapidly over the last two decades and the airport authority is currently building a second terminal to handle future growth. T2 is expected to be complete in 2010 and will allow Dublin airport to rival some of the world's largest airports.

Car hire is readily available in-terminal at Dublin Airport - as are extensive shopping, dining and rest facilities. Although London is the most popular destination for flights from Dublin Airport, the airport serves a full range of international destinations and also includes Paris, New York and Frankfurt amongst its top 10 destinations.

Ireland's two best-known airlines are based at the airport - both budget airline Ryanair and national carrier Aer Lingus have their headquarters at Dublin Airport.
